This Privacy Policy describes how Kingsbridge Consultancy LLC ("we", "us") handles information in our mobile applications — Ram Koti and Naam Jaap ("the Apps") on iOS and Android. We built them to respect your privacy. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking.
1. Information we do not collect
You can use the Apps without creating an account or providing your name, email address, or phone number. We do not collect contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers for advertising.
2. Your practice stays on your device
Your practice counts, daily goals, streak, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Recognition runs entirely on-device:
- Ram Koti recognises your handwriting on-device (using Google's ML Kit). Your handwriting strokes are never uploaded.
- Naam Jaap uses your device microphone to recognise your chanting and count your repetitions. Speech recognition runs on-device; your audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to us or any server. The microphone is used only while you are actively counting a chant session, and you can use the app without it by counting with the manual "+" button instead.
3. Optional community board (opt-in)
Both Apps include an optional global community board (leaderboard). It is off by default. If you choose to join it, we use:
- Firebase Anonymous Authentication — generates a random, anonymous ID for your device. It is not linked to your real identity, email, or phone number.
- Cloud Firestore — stores the display name you choose, your total practice count, and your day streak, so your contribution and rank can be shown. You may leave the board at any time, which stops further syncing.
These services are provided by Google Firebase. Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy & Security policies.
4. Children's privacy
The Apps are suitable for general audiences and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The optional community board asks only for a freely chosen display name.
5. Data retention & deletion
Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall an App. If you joined the community board and want your anonymous entry removed, see how to delete your data or email us at the address below, and we will delete it within 30 days.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
7. Dead Slow game & the “Dead Slow — New Tab” extension
Our web game Dead Slow and the Dead Slow — New Tab browser extension collect no data. They run entirely in your browser, request no permissions, and make no network calls; your best score is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
